As promised, this is part One-B of the FAQ on killing dog fleas. So lets get right to it...
Q: Why doesn't my flea treatments work any more?
A: Overtime, fleas may adapt to certain types of treatments. If you have not completely eradicated the infestation, but maby just kill some and then kill some more over time, they can develop a resistance to the products and/or procedures you've been using, especially if you've been using the same ones for a long time. Don't worry though, where there is a will, there is a way. :-)
Change it up a bit. For a while, try other remedies, you may find them just as effective. there are plenty of remedies for you to choose from. You may even be able to go back to the old treatment after some time and notice that it is, once again, working.
Q: Which is more effective at killing dog fleas, natural remedies or chemical-based flea killers that are on the market today?
A: Well, contrary to popular popular belief, natural remedies can be just as effective if not more effective than many chemical-based products in treating dog fleas. Natural remedies or “home remedies” (referred to as "home remedies" because much of what is needed to make them are found at home) – are quite effective at killing dog fleas as is their chemical counterparts. The major difference though is that it does not happen quite as quickly.
They may lack the the immediate knock-down of chemical foggers, sprays, and
powders; however, they also lack the considerable health risks. This in turn makes them quite popular, especially with young children around.
That concludes the first part of the FAQ on killing dog fleas. Stay tuned for more to come. In the mean time...
