Ok, lets continue where we left off...
Welcome again, and this is the second installment of a FAQ on killing dog fleas. Shell we get the show on the road?
Q: My dog is finally rid of the fleas; however, there are still fleas in my home. How can I do them in before they take over and get on my dog again?
A: There is no faster way of killing dog fleas than by the use of chemical foggers. They cover a whole room at a time and the fleas will drop like flies (pardon the pun) :-)
The bad thing is that Foggers are known for leaving certain areas untreated. So you might want to do follow ups with a spray treatment to make sure you got everything. Get the areas that are behind and underneath your furniture, as well as the far ends of the room to do away with potential survivors.
If you absolutely do not want to use any chemicals, here is a remedy that I have tried myself and was amazed that it worked: salt. Table salt, Surprisingly, is amazing for flea control. Just sprinkling the salt all over the floors (carpets) of your house (especial on areas you suspect might have major infestations.) This should keep the number of fleas down considerably.
