Find a lamp, especially one that gives off heat, and set it beside the pan of soapy water. Have the light shine over the water. And there you have it, you now have a flea trap.
Here is how it works: As you may know, fleas are drawn to heat. The lamp emits the heat and should cause any fleas in the room to be drawn to it. When they do this, they will fall short and land in the pan of soapy water. Once there, The detergent will work its magic the pests are done for.
Note: It is important to note that you change the water regularly. Don't wait for it to be full of fleas. Just think that if there are a lot of dead fleas, that others might not sink in the water when they jump in and therefore might be able to jump back out.
